Supassara Ho
Supassara Ho (b. 2002) is a practising artist and story teller from Thailand with a background in comic illustration and digital art. Currently pursuing her degree in Fine Arts, she creates narratives through drawing and handicrafts such as crochet. Inspired by the story-telling methods employed by the poems and stories from her adolescent years, she explores the concept of escapism while balancing it with new-found sincerity.

Patched
Medium:
Plastic bags, yarn made out of plastic bags and polyester yarn
Dimension:
175 cm (H) x 100 cm (W)
In an attempt to reflect on consumer culture, mass production, and sustainability, Patched uses crochet, which, in opposition to the fast-paced mass production society we live in, is a craft that takes a lot of time and practice. Only capable of being made by hand, the work aims to raise awareness about waste pollution from consumer culture and show recycling in a fun light.
