Nur Syahirah Binte Mohd Suhaimi
Nur Syahirah (b. 1998, Singapore) is a multidisciplinary artist pursuing a degree in Fine Arts at LASALLE College of the Arts. Photography has been her pet medium for past works, but most recently, she is attempting to incorporate other mediums and materials such as digital illustration,, typography, as well as physical sculptures, into her works. The understanding of one's identity has been a consistent topic of exploration in her art practice. Syahirah hopes to create more interactive and engaging works that reflect upon and give insight into the complexities of being for those who relate.

Faces or Phases
Medium:
Dimension:
Faces or Phases is a sculpture which rotates to show different sides and faces with a hanging t-shirt resembling the body. This explores the concept of multiple identities of the same person attached to one body. The idea of the “body” staying put physically with the face changing virtually represents the changes people may go through in different circumstances. Tying back to it back to Nur's own practice, she deals with the idea of vulnerability and who she shows different sides of herself to.
