Muhammad Redzuan Bin Mohd Sarwi
Redzuan (b.1995, Singapore) is currently pursuing his Bachelor in Fine Arts after graduating from Diploma in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts. He has a backgound in digital animation and game design from his previous education in Higher Nitec and Nitec in ITE, where his team received best in Game Art Design for their final year project. Redzuan has also been chosen twice by the Muslimin Trust Fund Association to draw and paint for two different presidents: the late S.R. Nathan and Madam Halimah Yacob on two different occasions. Experementing with different forms of art such as mixed media, new media, performance, sculptures and installations, Redzuan attempts to share new ideas that are interesting and appealing to viewers. His contemplative and creative practices mirror an intrinsic link between his internal and external facets of his life journey. He is interested in spaciousness found through silent encounters from attentive observations and keen awareness. His constructions serve his own explorations of perspective, while inviting others to open their senses to new perceptions. His intention is to reflect the boundlessness of inner and outer landscapes through his artworks, to embody the highest form of hope.

Memoir
Medium:
Photography, videography
Dimension:
Memoir is about breaking down memories and reconstructing them to create new narratives. Mainly working with found materials like photos and videos, Redzuan attempts to analyse the materials which are based on his own experiences that he is uncertain about - are they true or false? The places featured remind the artist of a tragedy in his life. Over time, certain details are forgotten, removed, and some are even added, distorting the truth. Through this process, the power to tailor and find joy, both spiritually and emotionally, in these memories is attained by the artist, allowing him to relive his own experiences with now-reconciled missing connections of his past.
