Muhammad Mustaghfir Bin Mohamad Khairudin
Muhammad Mustaghfir (b. 2000, Singapore) is an art practitioner whose practise is heavily grounded in reflection and introspection. His work largely revolves around textile and craft techniques as well as tedious and laborious processes. Through the lens of vulnerability, Mustaghfir strives to reconcile aspects of his identity that are often at conflicting ends of the spectrum. He ponders upon his personal recollection of memories in the pursuit of healing.

Marah tapi sayang (i still love you)
Medium:
Clothes, pails, water, detergent, pegs, rope
Dimension:
Marah tapi sayang (i still love you) stems from Mustaghfir’s experience living in a large household. Each family member plays a part in contributing to the family’s collective welfare but in a larger household, this means having more individuals to care for. Domestic maintenance, such as the fulfillment of daily chores, is a way in which care is externalised. This performance explores the dynamics of caregiving and the way it manifests within a domestic environment.
