Caleb Ellison Theil
Caleb Theil (b. 1999) is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Denver, Colorado, and currently working on a BFA in photography and a BFA in digital design. While Caleb's primary professional practice is rooted in photographic works, he prides himself in his ability to be a jack of all trades. Caleb diversifies using music - practicing and studying several instruments such as the drumset, piano, and cello. He has also explored digital design focusing on UX, UI design, brand, and game design. Furthermore, currently exploring ever more mediums for artistic and emotional expression. Caleb's work all falls under the umbrella idea of self-portraiture. From self-portraits in his photographic endeavors to surrealist paintings and emotional-driven experimental compositions in music.

The artwork consists of miniature vivariums and terrariums, which are a mixture of open and closed environments created by the artist using discarded objects found in various forests. The mini biomes contain cuttings from plants and shrubs from the same environments they are found in.
