The work aims to mirror the feeling of substantially adjusting oneself and losing the feeling of self. The artist works with the skeletal system due to her heavy interest in the intricacies of the human body, as well as due to the ubiquity of human skeletal system despite an individual's identity, race, gender, etc., hence making the metaphor of intense disfiguration more impactful. The visual of the work also alludes to the horror genre.
