/F/ is a historically accurate 1780s womenswear supportive shape wear garment (precursor to the corset), crafted from copper with the use of textiles. Feminine supportive garments from stays to modern day bras are notable for their negative qualities - it is often seen as improper for a woman to appear without them in the public, and for centuries, they have had negative associations tied to them, from vanity and eroticism, to drastic side effects on health. The older the design is, the worse its perceived image will become, from a modern perspective, so nowadays corsets are commonly seen as either kink wear or a torture device. Wearable pieces from metal are seen as protection, and are associated with knight’s armor. /F/ is an attempt to show femininity as not a vainglorious self harm, but as a protective force.
