By borrowing concepts of emptiness and the void from East Asian art, where binary opposites are not seen as two separate entities but arise from the same source, Tse Xuan’s works explore the aesthetics of silence in the natural and digital realm recreating natural processes or textures that exist in nature.
Undulating is a four-minute sound piece that aims to recreate the sound of rain through the technique of foley and software generation of noise. This piece looks at rain as a contemplative space for mindless thought and imagination.
