Packrat

Packrat is a representation of one’s acquisition of objects with the thoughts of monetary, sentimental value, or items that may be useful in the future. Portraying a metaphorical close-up of hoarding through two-channels of video installation between film and photography. Inspired by neighbourhoods and the influence of the environment, it was captured and congested within a frame.

In her works, Rah(b.1995) explores the idea of hoarding and sentiments towards objects. Working mainly with the medium of photography, she often works with black and white film to emphasise on the sense of contrast and importance in her subject matter, revoking the disorganisation through visual elements.
